Anton Giulio Bragaglia

The picture denotes a man sat smoking a cigarette. The movement in the picture could help to connote how something is continuous, which in the context could relate to how smoking is an addiction. The way the mans face is blurred due to the overlap created by the movement however his body is still. This shows how he doesn't really have an identity but is just a generic person instead and could be anyone. This could be due to the amount of people that smoked in the time that the photograph was taken. The nature of the person being male could also link to this as the photograph was taken in 1913 and this was a time when it was only acceptable for men to smoke and not women. There is contrast in the colours as the photograph denotes a black and white scene.

Mario Bellusi

The picture denotes a street scene. There picture shows movement due to how theres pictures overlayed. There a use of architecture in the picture which shows the stable area of the city however the blurred people could show the business of the city.
